The Kuwait Finance House was interesting. A board member (I forgot his title) gave us a presentation and explained Islamic banking and about the company. It was interesting, after two hours of class explaining specifically how Islamic banking works, you should just go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_banking.
Trust me. Skim it, but it’s interesting. After they gave us all goodies bags, WE WERE GIVEN A MUG!! Yeah Chelsea and Melissa, one more to add to the cupboard. It even says Kuwait Finance House on it. Another mouse pads…seriously if anyone wants/need one. I have some now. They just all say Kuwait on them. No big deal.
We headed to the Kuwait Investment Authority which was really interesting. There was only one guy there who was head of the IT department because everyone was on holiday, but he answered a lot of our questions.

(out van!)
They served us juice and tea, but no goodie bags. We have so much stuff anyways. Afterward, the evening following and we had class. Ug. I am so sick of class. But, it’s important and I take notes. Later that night I picked up my laundry (I really need it, got my pants dry cleaned for the rest of the trip) and headed to Marina Mall just for some Indian food with John and Jaris. Man, do I love those boys. They are so cool. Jaris was falling asleep (literally) but John and I talked about all kinds of things. He told me about his girlfriend…who is also named Kara. I guess it’s a good name! I found out she was reading my blog, so this is a shout out to her! We had a good conversation about relationships, guys and girls and some of our past. Jaris was still exhausted. It was nice to sit and share with others on a deeper level. I found out a lot more about John that I did not know and a girl Jaris really missed back in Colorado. It was such a nice time shared among us, just telling about our lives really brought us closer together.
